Corporate Status:

The Medicine Hat Public Schools’ Education Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act (RSA 1980). The Foundation operates at arms length from the Medicine Hat Public School Division.

It was formed to provide an opportunity for individuals, corporations and other groups to support education through contributions that finance Special Programs, Activities, and Projects, which will enhance education in the Medicine Hat Public School Division.

Our Mission:

To provide funds for the advancement of education in the Medicine Hat Public School Division.

The specific goals are:

• Promote educational research and innovation.

• Encourage, foster and develop recognition of the importance of education.

• Provide a meeting place for discussion of educational matters affecting the community.

• Encourage and promote activities for the betterment of life-long learning skills.

Charitable Status and Receipting:

The Foundation is not a registered charity; as such it cannot issue charitable receipts.

Official Receipts:

All funds raised by the Foundation go directly to the School Division. The Division is a registered charity and will issue charitable receipts where appropriate. Receipts will not be issued for donations less that $20.  

All cheques should be made payable to: Medicine Hat School District No.76

 Charitable receipts will not be issued if cheques are made payable to the Foundation.
