Medicine Hat, AB (May 12, 2021) Alberta Health Services (AHS) has identified a positive case of COVID-19 connectedtoDr. Ken Sauer School, as a result some students and staff have been directed to quarantine for a specified time period. Since many students and staff are participating in temporary online learning from home, there is a minimal impact on our school community. We have conducted a thorough investigation, as a result, all close contacts of the positive case have been identified and quarantined. To date, AHS has identified 8 active COVID-19 cases connected to our school. We are confident, based on AHS guidance, that those who have not been directed to quarantine can go about their daily lives.

We will support this individual and their family and wish them a safe and speedy recovery. We ask families and students to show compassion and kindness for those that have been impacted by a positive COVID-19 case.
